How to Choose a Dentist

Finding the right dentist can be challenging. And, I’ll admit it, sometimes people just don’t want to visit any doctor.

But if you pay attention to these important points, you should be able to find a dentist that suits your needs. Or, just call my office right now, and you don’t need to worry about any of these!  🙂

  • Find the services you’ll need.
Along with cleanings, preventative treatments and x-rays, be sure to ask about like: Invisalign braces, dentures, dental implants, mini-dental implants, gum disease treatments and cosmetic dentistry. Also, if you have children, make sure the dentist can offer care for the whole family. My practice offers all of these, and many other dentists do too.
  • Where is the office?
Find a dentist that you and your family can easily visit. For example, my offices are in Concord, across from Concord Mills Mall, and in North Charlotte near Northlake Mall and the Davis Lakes neighborhood. If you live, work or visit one of these areas regularly, my office might be a good fit for you.
  • Office hours.
Make sure that the dental office is open when you’re available.
  • Dental Insurance.
Find out if the office accepts your insurance and learn how much your out-of-pocket expense may be.
  • Evaluate the dentist after you visit.
Check the office to make sure it’s neat and clean. And ask yourself if the staff were courteous, helpful and answered your questions. If so, you’ll probably want to return.

Remember, you and your dentist will be long-term oral health care partners. So you’ll need to find someone that you and your family is comfortable with for many years to come.
