WHAT TO EXPECT IF YOU ARE A NEW DENTAL PATIENT IN CHARLOTTE AND CONCORD, NC?
We want to ensure that you receive a thorough consultation and have plenty of time to ask our staff any questions you may have. Our goal for your 80-minute initial appointment is for you to get to know Dr. Haynes, the team of doctors and our entire team. We will discuss your medical history, past dental experiences, reasons for coming to see us, goals for your smile, and ask about sleep wellness. Then, all necessary x-rays will be taken before our doctors thoroughly exams your teeth, gums, and jaw. We will also complete a thorough oral cancer screening of your mouth, take photographs of your teeth and bite, and take photos of your teeth to detect tooth decay.
After your exam, our hygiene team and doctors will explain their assessment and answer all questions you may have. We will also show you what they saw during your exam by using our intraoral dental camera. This will help you understand your diagnosis and treatment options. We also take the time to educate you about the effect that periodontal gum disease has on your overall health. Together, we can develop a complete treatment plan to help you achieve and maintain a smile that will maximize your personal health and appearance. If the gums are healthy, most patients also get their teeth cleaned during their first appointment.
Our office also utilizes dental imaging to give you high-quality images of your teeth, mouth and gums. Dental imaging allows us to detect occlusal or interproximal decay, even in the earliest stages, which can often be missed by the eyes or traditional film x-rays. Our Charlotte and Concord dentists will review all data to treat the affected area before it can develop into something more problematic and ultimately, more expensive.
At Modern Family Dental Care, we do our best to save you time and provide same-day dental care. We pride ourselves on being an affordable dentist in Concord and Charlotte with dental financing available. If you have any questions or want to learn more check out our services or schedule your first appointment now. We can’t wait to welcome you to our modern family.
